This delightfully musical story theater tale strives to answer the questions: who was Rumpelstiltskin? Did he spin and if he spun was it actually straw he was spinning? Was the king a good king or a bad king? Was the girl´s father a chronic fibber or was he just a victim of his time and socioeconomic standing? Was the girl an innocent dupe and were her broken promises acceptable considering the circumstances? These seemingly complex questions will most likely go unanswered but all – young and old alike – will have a marvelous time reading, listening, and singing along to this wonderfully fractured tale by Parents’ Gold Award Winning musical artist and author Keith Torgan. Hilariously performed on Audible by the author and flutist Barbara Siesel. This is a tale of musically comic proportions about the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth! 1. Italian. Stephen Sheerin was born to play on Broadway - or at least, under it. He´s a musician, a conductor, and his dream is to music-direct a big Broadway musical. After years of toiling in the pit of some of the best-loved (and loathed) hits on the Great White Way, he´s just been given his big break. Can life really be going that well? Of course not - his family is driving him crazy, and his boyfriend can´t seem to get rid of his other boyfriend. Add to that an alcoholic diva, the cheapest producing team on Broadway, and a comatose casting director, and you have some of the other characters buzzing around Stephen´s Broadway break. Then there´s Stephen himself - neurotic and bitchy - who realizes that maybe total happiness is overrated. Narrated by Seth Rudetsky, from Sirus radio and Broadway´s The Ritz; Kristin Chenoweth, Tony Award winner, star of Wicked and TV´s Pushing Daisies; James Wesley from the Rosie O´Donnell cruise ship; Jonathan Groff, Tony Nominee from Broadway´s Spring Awakening; Andrea Martin, Tony Award winner, from SCTV, and currently in Young Frankenstein; Jeff Bowen, Hunter Bell, and Susan Blackwell from [title of show]; Mary Birdsong (from TV´s RENO 911); Andrea Burns, from Broadway´s Tony nominated In the Heights; Andy Karl, from Broadway´s Legally Blonde and the upcoming 9 to 5; Anika Larsen, from off Broadway´s Zanna, Don´t and Broadway´s Xanadu; Billy Porter, from Broadway´s Grease and winner of Star Search!; Richard Kind, from TV´s Spin City and Broadway´s The Producers. Jim Price, from Les Miserables and Off-Broadway´s Bat Boy; Ann Harada from Avenue Q and the upcoming 9 to 5; Emily Skinner Tony nominee from Broadway´s Side Show; Juli Wesley - Becky´s First Grade Class at PS 98; and Sally Rudetsky (Seth´s ... 1. (2017/State Fair) 10 tracks (36:02) - digipac. - An alt-country band with punk roots, Vandoliers formed in 2015, bringing together a group of Dallas-Fort Worth musicians who’d already logged more than a decade in their own punk and folk bands. Together, the guys make a different sound, mixing raw, rough-edged roots music with the focused, fiery storytelling of frontman Joshua Fleming. ´We wanted to approach country music from a rock perspective,´ says Fleming, who fills the band’s debut, Ameri-Kinda, with anthems about hitting the highway, draining beer bottles, rallying against your opponents and, occasionally, dropping acid. Behind him, the guys kick up plenty of fast-moving dust, filling the songs with train beats, gang vocals, blasts of brass and bursts of guitar. Rounded out by bassist Mark Moncrieff, drummer Guyton Sanders, fiddler Travis Curry, electric guitarist Dustin Fleming and multi-instrumentalist Cory Graves, Vandoliers pay tribute to Texas by putting their own spin on the state’s musical history. Ameri-Kinda is exactly what its title suggests: a twist on a familiar sound, delivered with a wink of the eye and a bang of the head. It’s twang and tattoos, grit and guitars, honky-tonk and horns, Tejano and Telecasters. It’s Vandoliers.

When a flood of perfectly faked banknotes hits the market, retired art teacher Miss Emily Seeton, the Yard´s famed ‘MissEss´, is chosen to investigate a respected Geneva bank. Somehow, the forger is also mixed up in the theft of valuable paintings, so it´s ‘set an artist to catch an artist.´ But Miss S. is new to air travel – surely the names Geneva and ‘Genova´ must be the same place? Bamboozling both the crooks and the police who vainly try to keep tabs on her, innocently humming the fraudsters´ musical password, she trips gaily along the dangerous trail. Serene amidst every kind of skullduggery, this eccentric English spinster steps in where Scotland Yard stumbles, armed with nothing more than her sketchpad and umbrella! 1. Language: English. Oliver Twist, or The Parish Boy´s Progress, is the second novel by English author Charles Dickens, and was first published as a serial, 1837 - 39. The story is of the orphan Oliver Twist, who is born in a workhouse, and then sold into apprenticeship with an undertaker. He escapes from there and travels to London, where he meets the Artful Dodger, a member of a gang of juvenile pickpockets, led by the elderly criminal, Fagin. Oliver Twist is notable for its unromantic portrayal by Dickens of criminals and their sordid lives, as well as for exposing the cruel treatment of the many orphans in London in the mid-19th century. The alternate title, The Parish Boy´s Progress, alludes to Bunyan´s The Pilgrim´s Progress, as well as the 18th-century caricature series by William Hogarth, A Rake´s Progress and A Harlot´s Progress. In this early example of the social novel, Dickens satirizes the hypocrisies of his time, including child labor, the recruitment of children as criminals, and the presence of street children. The novel may have been inspired by the story of Robert Blincoe, an orphan whose account of working as a child laborer in a cotton mill, was widely read in the 1830s. It is likely that Dickens´s own youthful experiences contributed as well. Oliver Twist has been the subject of numerous adaptations for various media, including a highly successful musical play, Oliver!, and the multiple Academy Award-winning 1968 motion picture. Disney also put its spin on the novel with the movie called, Oliver & Company, in 1988. 1. Language: English. Narrator: Tadhg Hynes.
